Portraits, "Hear It Is"
My friend Alice asked me to do portraits for her passion project in 2012. In her words, “’Hear it is‘ is a series of interviews with [veterans of the OPM scene], transcribed… as oral histories. We talk about what they do and what they’ve done, and what has changed since they started making music…”
The most interesting part was trying to capture the introspective spirit of the interviews, while still depicting the musicians in a way that made them recognizable to fans more familiar with their onstage personas.
